From Booklist

"This is a gripping psychological thriller; it’s narrated by the adult Christine, looking back through the years, applying an adult’s sense of morality and judgment to the actions of her younger
self. The debut novel of a veteran short story writer and the mother of genre superstar Megan Abbott,Concrete Angel  will draw fans of the late Ruth Rendell as well as readers of Paula Hawkins’ The Girl on the Train (2015). It might make a very good movie too if the casting were right.

Comparison to Ruth Rendell and "mother of genre fiction superstar"! Now if only Hollywood would come nibbling with a big check!

Congratulation on the great review!

Yeah, some days are good ones. On the other hand, our Internet is not working right, my knee is still sprained, and people keep telling me they can't come to the signing for one reason or another. So it's never all good news, is it?

Patti, you do realize, don't you, that the people who can't come to the signing for whatever reason will be telling their children, grandchildren, and/or psychiatrists, "Dang, I could have been there. That's the biggest regret in my life!"
