IS FACEBOOK WACK OR WHAT?

Michelle Obama reading.

With the new facebook application, you now see correspondence between people in your network and other people in their network. People you don't know at all. This seems too private to me. Do you really want to see guys setting up dates with their girlfriends or parents and children making plans for Easter dinner? Or do I have some special version of facebook that allows this. Why is this a good idea? Okay, maybe for writers it is. But what about the rest of the world?

This was supposed to go up Saturday...so if you want to think it over....

I think it's weird. I don't use that "wall-to-wall" application, although you can fix the settings so it doesn't go out to everyone. I use Facebook mail for that stuff.

I don't have to give this much thought: too much information and not enough privacy. Less is more.

There's a reason (actually several) that I have no desire to have a Facebook page.

(I just gave my best friend a copy of OLIVIA, since she had put it on a want list. I'll have to dip into that one.)

I've always been very leary of that and disabled my wall almost as soon as I joined. If people want to set something up, even if it's just a coffee, I'd prefer to do so in private.

it's usefull for keeping in touch with people (and the groups and whatnot) but, really, I take it no more seriously than something like 'Myspace'

I'm like Todd. This is yet another reason why I'm dragging my feet on setting up a Facebook account. Still thinking about Twitter, though.
