My Life at the Theater: KILLER JOE

This is from the current movie, but we saw the play in Chicago in April, 2000 at The Theater at 2851 North Halstead. It was a knockout-violent, funny, surprising. Tracy Letts first premiered his play in 1994 so it's been kicking around for years. One of those plays I'd see again. Not sure about the movie but probably that too.

I do want to see this movie, though it hasn't arrived in Missoula yet.

Julia and I went and saw Magic Mike the other night. Matthew McConaughey was great in the movie, which we were both surprised we liked as much as we did.

Hi Patti

No idea about this movie. Here's my entry for Friday's Forgotten Books. It's a review of Margaret Erskine's The Whispering House.

Do include it in the list. Thanks.

I liked it too, Chris.
Neer-I will forward it to Todd, who is doing it today as I just got home from a trip.

Patti - I must admit I've not seen the film. But I've heard good things about it.

Looks like we just missed each other.

I worked at 2851 N. Halsted for many years when it was Touchstone (and then Organic)Theatre. We moved out in 1999.

Can't believe the movie could stink.
