I didn't have the wherewithal to incorporate "Horses" into my Horse story, and get it done by deadline. Shall have to hear how SMc and PS do this Springsteener.
And I still wonder who the sf writer was who tried to barter a meal for a bed romp with the starving young Smith in mid/late '60s NYC. (From early on in JUST KIDS.)
Bruce Springsteen, on the video segment of THE PROMISE, talks about writing BECAUSE THE NIGHT with Patti Smith. Fascinating story of an artistic collaboration.

Love this song--especially her original version. Her book about her life with Robert Mapplethorpe, JUST KIDS, is very good.
Been meaning to read it since it came out. She can do it all.
Those quilts are fabulous!
A woman saw Phil taking the picture of the "legs" quilt. (HE took all of them).
She said, "The only man here and he manages to find the legs."
Patti - Oh, that comment about Phil and the 'photo is funny!
I really like both Sarah MacLachlan's voice and Patti Smith's voices, so thanks :-).
