My Life in the Theater: Cymbeline

We saw this production at Lincoln Center in 2007. It's a difficult play and not performed very often. It was truly a star-studded cast but not my favorite play and it was a bland production. A strike on Broadway was just ending and this was one of the few plays up and running. Ah well.

The play does contain the lovely passage that begins "Fear no more the heat of the sun" and ends "Golden lads and girls all must, like chimney sweeps return to dust."

Love it!

I think I need to see it when it didn't strike me that they were all scabs in the middle of an actors strike.
