THE NOIR THRILLER, Lee Horsley

The Noir Thriller

This book is written by British academic, Lee Horsley, and published by Palgrave. Although it's an academic book, the selection I read is easy to understand and interesting for anyone who reads noir. She just added a chapter on 21st century noir, which includes lots of the people we are reading today.

Sounds like an interesting book. Wasn't there an actor named Lee Horsley?

Same thing I said. This is a woman apparently.

It's a top book. Haven't read the new one though.

Is this novels and shorts, or film, or both? I can't quite tell.

The chapter I read was strictly novels.

I ordered THE NOIR THRILLER but it's expensive for a trade paperback.

I think it's because it's an academic press. Palgrave published my husband's last book, too, and look at the price of it. http://us.macmillan.com/accidentalpresidents

I know what you mean about cost, but that does sound like an interesting book...

Patti, your husband's book looks interesting, but the price is shocking. They might have done a little more with the cover, too...
