WTF with Marc Maron

This is my go-to podcast when I am walking because it's long enough for me to get my 45 minutes in. I always enjoy Marc Maron, but his guests are often narcissistic boobs. People I admired, I often detest by the end of the hour. For instance David Mamet today. Why is it these people have so much confidence in their ability to say the most inane things and think they are profound.
Also Sharon Stone. Rambling philosophy.
Big exception recently was Ted Danson, who I loved.Tracy Letts and Laurie Metcalf were delightful. Jennifer Lawrence, a flake. These people need scripts.Still I admire Marc Maron's ability to try and make the most out of every guest.
Do you have a favorite podcast? I also love Filmspotting and The Last Picture Show.

I have to admit, I don't listen to a lot of podcasts, although I know there are a lot of great ones out there. I should explore them more.

None. I've never listened to a podcast and wouldn't have a clue how to do it.

And keep off my lawn!

I'm not at all surprised about Mamet or Sharon Stone. I like Maron on GLOW.

I haven't listened to a podcast in years, though I used to enjoy several. I used to download them with the computer and transfer them to my iPod. I'm guessing you access them on your phone?

My iphone came with an ap for podcasts. Pretty easy to find and download them SPEAKING OF MYSTERIES is another good one. Also YOU MUST REMEMBER THIS-Hoolywood tales. Lots of true crime ones. Yeah, I liked GLOW too. He is not full of himself-I really like that,.

Did I fail to post my response correctly?

That's a drag, if so. I dug out a lot of link addresses to podcasts. Ah, well.

Something odd is going on with my computer today. I actually saw your post as an email and assumed it was up on here. I also lost an email I sent out this morning. I will try and find it. Ugh.

He's a bit full of himself. But he also has a perhaps more than healthy lack of respect for himself, which his belated success as a podcaster probably has helped him overcome, mostly. (Most of his acting career has followed his podcast becoming a big hit.)

My favorite podcasts, even given all those I could be listening to as well, run to:
THE JACKIE AND LAURIE SHOW https://nerdist.com/podcasts/the-jackie-and-laurie-show/ Mostly about the lives of women comedians and their takes on the larger world
Jackie Kashian's THE DORK FOREST http://tdf.jackiekashian.com
Jimmy Pardo's NEVER NOT FUNNY http://pardcast.com
--these two, along with KEITH AND THE GIRL, are the longest-running comedian podcasts in the US, having both launched in 2006. Jackie's podcast is about enthusiasms, usually though not exclusively those of comedian guests; Pardo's involves three fellow staffers usually chatting with comedian guests in informal talk-show manner
THE DANA GOULD HOUR http://www.danagould.com/category/episodes/
INTERNATIONAL WATERS http://www.maximumfun.org/shows/international-waters
HOW DID THIS GET MADE? dissections of odd films http://www.earwolf.com/show/how-did-this-get-made/
Erin Gibson and Bryan Safi's political and cultural THROWING SHADE http://www.earwolf.com/show/throwing-shade/
Janet Varney's THE JV CLUB https://www.thejvclub.org
THE LONG SHOT, a chat between a quartet of.comedians and sketch performers, with guests at times https://art19.com/shows/the-long-shot-podcast
THE JIMMY DORE SHOW https://jimmydorecomedy.com/home/index.php/the-jimmy-dore-show-podcast/
mostly writers: VIRTUAL MEMORIES, this one with Kathe Koja and critic and novelist John Clute http://chimeraobscura.com/vm/episode-145-kathe-koja-and-john-clute
and any number of items on BBC Radio 4 https://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4
..among other radio favorites, some of which have dropped off the air locally...

Found it. And thanks. I have not heard any of these.
