Saturday Night Music: Try A Little Tenderness

Nice. They're those actors I'll watch a movie or show for just because they're in it.

Of course Otis Redding did the version of this 1932 song that will be remembered, especially for the live version on MONTEREY POP.

Incidentally, Andre Braugher's singing in this clip was done by Arnold McCuller.

Tim Robbins's character in "Bull Durham" absolutely butchers this song: "Oh, she may be woolly/Women do get woolly/Because of all the stress."

Of course, Otis's version is non-pareil, but 3 Dog Night did a nice version.
