Wow. What a team. Love Ella of course but Jo Stafford is one of my favorites from the war years and well into the fifties. I have well-stocked sections for both of them on my iTunes including one of Jo singing live at a USO.
I've always liked Jo Stafford, but Ella has always been my all-time-favorite female vocalist. Back in the 1960s I was fortunate to see her at Philadelphia's Academy of Music in concert with Duke Ellington and his orchestra. Absolutely spectacular!
When the Jo Stafford clip is over, check out Ella's duet with Dinah Shore, and when that's finished, watch her sing with The Manhattan Transfer.

Both rank right at the top.
Two great voices...even with the rather inane chit-chat that they have to go through to get to the song.
Patti - What powerhouse singers! I just love that depth!
Two great singers! Thanks for posting this clip.

Almost put up the one with Dinah. Funny how forgotten she is, considering her late life TV show and romance with Burt Reynolds.
Been looking for this for years
