FFB-DIE AGAIN, MACREADY, Jack Livingston
I read several books by Jack Livingston in 1987. He had a deaf series detective, Joe Binney, who caught my interest. In this book, he tracks missing money for a client, a TV actor, who turns up dead. Jack Livingston worked for years as a merchant seaman before writing mysteries. He was nominated for a Shamus for Best P.I. novel for this one.

This isn't a series I've heard of, Patti, but it sounds intriguing. The story itself sounds good, too.
I like the idea of a deaf detective. I don't remember ever seeing anything about this author before. It is interesting how some authors get really forgotten. I will check the book sale, although that is a long shot. But I can find some of his books at ABEbooks and try them.
