We never saw China Beach. There was a period of time where we only saw Turner Classics movies or Mystery Science Theater 3000 on TV. I had no idea Marg Helgenberger was in it, or Dana Delany. I may have to try it.
I almost bought the DVD sets of CHINA BEACH but then I found out they changed the music that was so great on the TV show. The producers didn't want to pay for the music rights so they "substituted" other songs. As Rick Robinson would say: "Bah!"

Started good, kept getting better. I might just buy the Time-Life complete set, when money starts coming in again.
China Beach was a wonderful show, especially during its premiere season.
Cheers,
Jeff

Great choice, Patti. I love Chloe Webb in anything and was sorry she left, and of course McMurphy was a great role.
Jeff M.
I would love to watch these again but have been unable to find them.
Heartbreaking show for those of us who remember Viet Nam.

That was a well-done show.
That just sucks, George. I would be furious because the music was so important.
BAH! indeed. The music was integral. Hopefully the original will become available sometime.
Nip/Tuck
