Songs That Remind Me of Summer

Oh, that is an absolutely classic song. And of course it reminds me of the film, too...

Groovin' by the Young Rascals.

But my #1 is one of the few "summer" songs that actually was #1 in the summer: Summer in the City.

The summer of 1966 was a hot one. I'd dropped out of college and was working in Midtown. Believe me, this song catured it perfectly.

And stay off my lawn!

Oh, and as for the Simon & Garfunkel - we were there in Central Park, September 19, 1981. We couldn't see them but we could hear.
