I like "quiet storm" or "smooth jazz" types of music if I'm really feeling stressed and need to calm down. On the classical side, I like Erik Satie for bringing down the stress level.
Anything that's music to the ears - Moody Blues, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Lee Hazlewood, Jefferson Starship (Airplane), Engelbert Humperdink, Billy Joel, Ryan Farish (instrumental), Beatles, Sarah Brightman, Trini Lopez...oh, it's endless.

Almost anything on Windham Hill: Bill Ackerman, Michael Hedges, Jim Brickman, George Winston, and Scott Cossu.
Stan Getz & Astrud Gilberto, Sinatra, Sade.
Jeff M.
All of these are excellent choices. Thanks!

Some sort of jazz. Probably Thelonious Monk.
It's not the type of music or the performer(s)for me, it's the song. There are hundreds of them.
That's really interesting and I never thought of it before.
bella, claire de lune ... bella
