I like it too. I thought this reader was a little flat, or disinterested sounding, but the poem, especially summer sings no more part, is very touching.
Yikes. Melancholy counter argument to the old saw "better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." I'll take John Donne's "Nocturnal on St. Lucy's Day."
