After they (mostly lead singer Anthony Kiedis) sexually assaulted a friendly acquaintance of mine (she pursued them through the courts and AK was convicted of an assault misdemeanor, and the band settled out of court when she pursued them in civil court), I've been quick to note this (and that she found, when writing to the campus booking press, that they had been doing so repeatedly and bribing women into silence). Though, happily for me, I never found their music interesting beforehand. The band's legal team interviewed me briefly; I was very happy they decided they didn't want me on the stand (idiots I'd worked with at a Tower Records had let the lawyers know I knew the plaintiff).
