in TIME MAGAZINE this picture gets its own page. Sorry to be gushing but wow!
Save me your copies if you get TIME.

I'd print it, but I think they may have copyright issues.

I linked it to my Facebook page. You are such a proud mama. :)
Well, when you have reason to be so proud - why not?
Have a great weekend, Patti.
That is extremely cool. Congratulations to both of you.
I'm sorry I don't get TIME, I'd be so happy to send my copy to you. I love how you've asked for extra copies--reminds me of when my kids get their picture in the newspaper and I email all my friends to save the paper for me; your request is, of course, on a grander scale.
I saw it yesterday, recognized her right off the bat. VERY cool. And I'll save the magazine for you.
Michel
She looks lovely, plus she's smart and talented. What more could we ask of our children? Congrats to all.
Thanks, guys.
I think it's great. I'm happy for both of you!
Strangely enough, although we don't normally get Time, they sent us a sample copy and this was the one. So if you make sure we can get you address at some point I will send you our copy.
I will send it along via email. And thanks so much. No hurry.
That's terrific, and well-deserved. In my (remarkably well-informed!) opinion, Megan is one of the best three or four crime fiction writers currently working, and an inspiration to the rest of us, so it's great to see this.
Thanks so much.
I was looking through my issue and saw the photo. Huge photo. I showed it to my wife and said, "Look, Megan Abbott got a huge, one-page photo."
My wife said, "Who's that?"
I was unable to identify all of them either.
Wow is right, Patti. This is one of the payoffs for all those years of mothering.
You can post the picture, it's "fair use," and if TIME has a problem, they'll let you know.
If Megan has a problem, she'll let you know, too!
(If more than [quite literally] five people had read my FFB, perhaps more earlier knowledge of this link would've existed, but I guess I might as well ask for the Moon...who's irritable?)
I read your post, Mason.
Thanks, Gerard. A few more might've since. Literally, five hits on the page at time of writing. Clearly, not a popular topic, the two anthologies I chose.
