Patti ... I almost bought a copy of this book last year but decided against it for a reason i cannot recall now. I remember the Dana Andrews/Jean Tierney Movie of the same name. Haven't seen it in decades but i recall it was well done. Story of obsession triggered by a painting of a murdered lady and testimony from friends. I'd like to hear your opinion of the book when you finish reading it.

There were so many covers of this one using the movie that I didn't include. I am almost done but one observation was the movie was more romantic. Maybe the theme song and Gene Tierney helped. Not that the books isn't great too.
