"At Last"

More art from Jean Pierre Jacquet to reflect "Love Hurts," a Valentine's Day blogorama. Speaking of which, what song will you be most likely to play on the 14th. I vote for Etta James' "At Last." Lots of cover versions, but that's my favorite.

My problem in getting these links up here makes me wonder what's gonna happen on Thursday. I hope Aldo and Gerald are more proficient.

My song choice is "Love Song" by 311. Best love song ever. =)

Etta James' "At Last" is in fact a cover itself, originally performed by the Glenn Miller Orchestra. But hers is the version I have on iTunes.

Gee and I don't know it at all. Off to listen to it.
NO vocalist with GM, Graham?

My Valentines Day lineup:

"I Hate Everything About You" - 3 Days Grace
"Love Hurts" - Incubus
"She Hates Me" - Puddle of Mudd

...sorry, I'm a bit jaded, I guess :)

Sophie-I've had days like that. Or years. But not where my husband's concerned. Been my one true love since I was seventeen. A lucky woman.

The vocalist was Roy Eberle. I thought so when I left my earlier comment, but couldn't confirm until later. I'm not normally that much of a swing geek but I saw the GMO a few years ago and the bandleader mentioned it.

Oh, and socalledauthor? 311's "Love Song" is a remake of a Cure tune. Sophie? "Love Hurts" was originally by Nazareth.

I think I found a verion on Youtube with Glen Miller playing it on the piano. Or someone playing it. Mesmerizing. And I found 311, used in that movie with Drew Barrymore and what's his name.

'The Look of Love' by Dusty Springfield is surely the perfect Feb 14 song

Dusty Springfield. She was sublime.
