It's funny. A couple of weeks ago we were listening to a CD set called something like "Forgotten Hits of the 1960s" and it had this one on it. I'd pretty much forgotten the song until I heard it, when I recognized it instantly.
This is one of my favorite movies. I am not sure if the song stands well on its own. I think you have to run scenes from the movies through your head to find it delightful.

I always liked The Association, Patti, but must admit, I've never seen this film.

I would have guessed this film and song were about 1972 or 1973, not 1969, but those years kind of blended together. The film is better than the song.
The song is only good because it reminds me of the movie...and the book, which I love. And I love the book because it reminds me of being young.
