I loved Norah Jones' early CDs. Then she went pop for a few years (not my taste). And now she's singing Everly Brothers songs on FOREVERLY (which I really like!).
I just read about Lizzy Caplan's nude scene on TRUE BLOOD (five years ago) where she claims she overcame her nervousness by chugging a bottle of vodka, naked, before the filming.
Got Phil that CD for Christmas as well as the fantasy collection you mentioned yesterday. Go are my go to guy, GK. I loved her on PARTY DOWN but she really shines here. Of course, she is the true center of the show since she's still alive to consult.
Was amused on a trip to the highlands of Scotland to get away from it all for a while, as we pulled into the parking lot of a country inn, there was the sound of Norah Jones coming from the open windows of the bar. Don't remember the song: probably "Your Cheatin' Heart."

Very cool, Patti, that you put both renditions here. Thanks

Wherever you go, it is there. American music really dominates life everywhere. For good or bad.
It was nice to discover that Caplan could, if just so, convince as a former professional singer.
