There was a (sorry, but they were) very pretentious couple sitting near us on the plane back from Phoenix last night (an aside - how can you live in a climate where it is 110+ every day and the sun feels like it's burning right through your clothes?) and both were reading on their Kindles the entire flight.
(Well, he was. She was bragging about their travels half the flight. "We'll be hanging out in Tuscany for a couple of weeks....We were on safari in Botswana and South Africa...me me me...").
