Three things you need to know about my mother
1) She never says anything bad about anyone except commentators on Fox News.
2) She never once told me I was making mistakes in how I raised my children (even though I sometimes was).
3) She's one of the bravest, least materialistic and least complaining people I know. (Okay so five things).

As Tom Friedman wrote today, how I wish I still had a mother alive to call. Nonetheless, I am heartened by the generous compliments that you give to your mother. Good for her and good for you.
Happy Mother's Day to Susan, Chuck. It must be sad to have to remember your mother rather than to call her. But lucky is the mother who a son wishes he could call.
