I've been arguing recently with those who like to compare Mitchell unfavorably with Dylan/Zimmerman. Nope.
A happy (Western) Xmas to all those who observe it, the lingering happy solstice holidays of all other sorts, and a much better New Year when at all possible...
It took until now for me to see animation in the video...amusing how the inkblot at the beginning reminds me of the best cover the Groff and Lucy Conklin book I'm targeting in my (of course, delayed) FFB has had...

Joni Mitchell is so talented, isn't she, Patti? Thinking of you and hoping that 2022 treats you well...
And you, Margot!
Just watched her get honored at the Kennedy Center Tribute last night. Brandi Carlisle sang "River."
Also, for those who didn't watch it, Ellie Goulding did "Big Yellow Taxi" and Brittany Howard & Herrbie Hancock did "Both Sides Now."
I love Sarah McLachlan's rendition of "River." Very moving...and so true.
The Joni Mitchell tribute at the Kennedy Center was long overdue!
Wish we’d known that Kennedy Center show was on, didn’t see it listed on PBS.
If you just google it, Rick, a video of the entire show comes up.
Another good lonely Christmas song-The Pretenders 2000 Miles.
Rick, it was on CBS, not PBS. PBS did have In Performance at the White House the night before.

Last year I said 2021 couldn't be worse. I was wrong.
PATTI, NEXT YEAR WILL BE 2020-TWO. BUCKLE UP!
A GAZILLION-AND-A-HALF OF YOUR BLOG FOLLOWERS WILL BE WITH YOU IN SPIRIT TOMORROW. WE NOT AS GOOD AS MEGAN AND JOSH, BUT WE ALL LOVE YOU.
