About Me
Patricia Abbott is the author of more than 125 stories that have appeared online, in print journals and in various anthologies. She is the author of two print novels CONCRETE ANGEL (2015) and SHOT IN DETROIT (2016)(Polis Books). CONCRETE ANGEL was nominated for an Anthony and Macavity Award in 2016. SHOT IN DETROIT was nominated for an Edgar Award and an Anthony Award in 2017. A collection of her stories I BRING SORROW AND OTHER STORIES OF TRANSGRESSION will appear in 2018.
She also authored two ebooks, MONKEY JUSTICE and HOME INVASION and co-edited DISCOUNT NOIR. She won a Derringer award for her story "My Hero." She lives outside Detroit.

Patti, I am so sorry for your loss. You have been a blessing to Phil during this ordeal.
I am glad that your and your family have so many happy memories of him to help you get through this devastating time.
My thoughts and prayers are inadequate for this situation but they are there anyway.
I am so sorry for your loss, Patti. Just keep Phil close in your heart. As long as your memories of him exist, he does too, in a sense.
So very sorry....so glad you and your kids and grandson and all your family and friends could have him in your lives.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Phil except through the things you've said about him over the years, but that's enough to tell me he was a fine man. Hold tight to the good memories.
We are all missing Phil along with you. He was smart, funny, and kind. The world is diminished now that he is gone.

Philip Abbott’s great going at 74 seems not right. *He* had more to do. I will always remember the picnic Patti and Phil made for my young family many years ago now. It represented the kind of people they were together: open-hearted, generous, loving. My very sincerest sympathies to Patti, Megan, Joshua, and all who had the good fortune to have had a place in Philip Abbott’s heart.
