I'm so very sorry for your loss, Patti. It was my good fortune that we got to meet and break bread together in Stratford over the years. I'll always remember the conversations, Phil's kindness and his support. He was a very good man.
Patti, so so sorry to hear this. Phil was truly one of the nicest people we've ever met, and I never heard him say a harsh word about anyone. I am so sorry for your loss (and your family's).
I'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Phil except through the things you've said about him over the years, but that's enough to tell me he was a fine man. Hold tight to the good memories.
Patti, so, so sorry, our sincerest condolences to you, and the family. Hoping you will carry on, though of course you will miss Phil terribly. Love and hugs.
My sincerest condolences to you, Patti. May the love of your friends and family give you solace. The love story between you and Phil has moved me deeply. I feel like I know you both, even though I've rarely posted here.
Patti: My sympathy to you and your family. Please let me give you a virtual hug. I have appreciated hugs at times of personal loss. They give to me a connection to the expression of sorrow.
I do not know if you are familiar with Sullivan Ballou's letter to his wife, Sarah, written just before the first Battle of Bull Run in the American Civil War. I have found it of comfort when dealing with loss - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VK1KcZoDu0.
Philip Abbott’s great going at 74 seems not right. *He* had more to do. I will always remember the picnic Patti and Phil made for my young family many years ago now. It represented the kind of people they were together: open-hearted, generous, loving. My very sincerest sympathies to Patti, Megan, Joshua, and all who had the good fortune to have had a place in Philip Abbott’s heart.
My belated condolences as I have been away. Truly sorry to learn of your loss but reading your posts, am glad your lives together were so rewarding. All the best to you & your family.

So very sorry....so glad you and your kids and grandson and all your family and friends could have him in your lives.
All of you loved, and remain loved.
