On Hiatus

Completely exhausted after three ambulance trips to the hospital last week. Think things are resolved but not sure, Phil is still in the ICU. Send him good thoughts. Every week is harder than that last.
I have learned to use uber though.

The best things you can do for Phil is to stay strong and take care of yourself, Patti. There's a whole world of people who care for the both of you.

Patti, we're so sorry to hear things seem to be getting worse. ICU is no picnic, and I'm sure your visits are helping Phil. Hoping you both improve soon. Very soon! We'll miss you while you're away.

How brave of you to try Uber. I have never done that and I don't drive either.

Tracy-it was so simple. You just need to put the ap on your phone.

Patti, can we assume Todd will do Friday Forgotten until further notice?

Best wishes, Patti. Saddened to learn of Phil's latest emergencies.

You may go ahead and assume I will gather links for Friday Books as long as necessary or useful.

Alice just got back from taking her mentor to one of his chemo sessions, and sitting with him.

As one of the contributors said in our Bill tribute, F--- cancer. Or, better yet, Let's hope we can kill cancer at least a little better soon, so that those we marry or otherwise cherish don't get so messed over.

Along with those who cherish them.

And don't be afraid to use Lyft, as well. I've been favoring them when I had to take Niki into bi-daily vet visits when the car was in the shop and Alice had hers at work...favoring them because their management was apparently at least marginally less awful than Uber's. Always good enough experience.

Any and all good things to you both, and yours.

Thanks, Todd. I haven't been able to download the Lyft ap because i can't find my password. The Uber drivers I have used have been fine so far.
Thanks to all who come here and offer their solace.

I am so sorry, Patti, and had no idea this was going on. Been too buried in my grief this week. So very sorry.

Do not be afraid to ask for help, Patti. When I went through this last year, I learned that lesson the hard way. If there's anything we long-distancers can do, let us know. And you must take care of yourself! We'll all be thinking you and sending along best wishes to Phil.
