I can't tell you how deeply saddened I was when I learned that mother followed daughter so swiftly into the Great Beyond. I had just overdosed on Carrie Fisher TV appearances on Craig Ferguson's show and other YouTube videos than watched Wishful Drinking (uproariously funny) in its entirety. Yesterday I watched all of Debbie Reynolds' appearances as the Mystery Guest on "What's My Line?" -- there were about five! She was just as hilarious as Carrie. Laughter is the only way I can deal with deaths that affect me so personally.
I wish I could find Good-bye Charlie. Maybe I need to look more diligently. Never seen that one. I'd like to watch a few of her movies over this last holiday weekend of the year. Maybe something will turn up on one of the syndicated movie channels like This TV or GET TV.

This is the song, and the film, I first think of when I hear her name. Thank you for the clip.
Her co-star was Leslie (Don't Call Me Shirley) Nielsen. She was replaced in the next two movies by Sandra Dee.
I know. And at the time, I loved Sandra so I was happy.
I will always think of the film Postcards From The Edge when think of Reynolds... and Fisher. RIP, both.

Thanks.
Have a very happy 2017.
FYI - Postcards From the Edge will be on one of the pay cable channels starting next week. (Cinemax?) Trying searching On Demand.
We might have that one. Horrible we are paying for stuff we never use.
Looks like it is on Starz on the 4th.

GOODBYE CHARLIE is on you tube. I remember it well because I had a crush on Tony Curtis about then.
