Christmas Books for Phil & Patti
Sorry this picture doesn't translate well from Instagram. TONY AND SUSAN is the novel that NOCTURNAL ANIMALS comes from. THE MAGIC OF SHIRLEY JACKSON is a replacement for the copy destroyed by falling plaster 35 years ago. What new books did you get for the holidays?

Oh, it's so nice to get great books as gifts, isn't it, Patti? Glad you and Phil got some winners.
It's All One Case the Illustrated Ross MacDonald Archives
Bruce Springsteen by Bruce Springsteen
The Found and Lost: Collected Novellas of Ursula K. Le Guin
I gave my son the Sprinsteen bio. Looks great.
It's just another day here. No presents so no books. That is, nothing other than the usual downloads, etc.
I can send you a big box, Jeff.
NO!!! Please, no. You've seen my shelves. They are even worse now.
The ever generous Jeff Meyerson sent me a package of Erle Stanley Gardner's DONALD LAM/BERTHA COOL mysteries. Those books used to be everywhere I looked a decade ago: used bookstores, thrift stories, flea markets. No more! You'll be seeing some postings about the LAM/COOL series on my blog in the weeks ahead.
I mostly gave myself the gift of reading some of the books I've already got
Good idea. These were from other people.
Sorry I can't make out the books in the picture, but I'm sure you'll enjoy them. You already saw my swag list on my blog, so it seems we both got good goodies.
Let's all send Jeff a bunch of books!
NOOOO!!!
As my mother would say, "Let's not and say we did."
