I've only heard this sung by Sinead O'Connor. I never knew Prince wrote it a few years before she recorded it. Bizarre story about what happened when they met at his home/studio. She swore, he got upset and told her about the no swearing rule at Paisley Park, she said something really foul and insulting, and they got into a fistfight. Insane! Maybe she made it all up.

My guess is that they are both a little screwy. Or were, I should say.
