My adolescence coincided with the rise of the Eagles. Couldn't stand them. My distaste only grew stronger when the Clash came along. But when this song was released I had to reconsider.
It's really good. And the video is a favourite.
"Out on the road today, I saw a Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac A little voice inside my head said, "Don't look back. You can never look back"

Wonderful. I never tire of it.
I still can't stand the Eagles.
That is my favorite part too, Brian.
Henley can truly sing anything.
Jeff M.
I like Henley's "End of the Innocence" although the imagery and political leanings in it are less than subtle.
Love this one, and also his Sunset Grill.
Classic song! Thanks for reminding me.
