To us, GREASE the movie was an abomination, a very bad late 70's take on 50's greasers. Now the original off-Broadway show, with Barry Bostwick as Zucco and Adrienne Barbeau (who could have eaten the ridiculously overaged Stockard Channing for lunch and spit her out) as Rizzo, was a classic.
Patricia Abbott is the author of more than 125 stories that have appeared online, in print journals and in various anthologies. SHOT IN DETROIT was nominated for an Edgar Award and an Anthony Award in 2017. A collection of her stories I BRING SORROW AND OTHER STORIES OF TRANSGRESSION will appear in 2018.

PS - She was 33 when she played Rizzo!
Oh, that's so funny! I was just thinking of this film/show the other day!
I've never made it more than a few minutes into grease.
