Suzi Quatro




Suzi came home to Detroit last night to be awarded a Detroit Music award. Shouldn't she be the second Q in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

Patti: didn't Suzi Quatro appear as Leather Tuscadero on Happy Days? Always liked her style. Didn't know about the Detroit connection. It's fun to learn stuff from you. Yours truly, Toe.

Quatro and her first recording band the Pleasure Seekers are among the performers I've highlighted over the years...and she did play Leather Tuscadero (but I missed her there since I'd given up on that series by about the end of the second season).

She belongs in there Way ahead of Queen (whom I assume is the first Q...or did they have the wit to induct Quincy Jones?)...the Pleasure Seekers gave birth to Cradle (I guess pleasure-seeking can lead to cradle occupation), which in turn helped make way for Fanny, as well as sparking SQ's recording career.

I like Suzi, but she should not be inducted before fellow Detroiters The MC5 are.

There are some very strange omissions from the HoF.

Yes, QUEEN.
And as Todd notes, she play Leather. Was she also on episode of FRIENDS or am I remembering incorrectly.
The strangest omission is that is should be in Detroit, not Cleveland.

Other acting roles include a 1982 episode of the British comedy-drama series Minder (called "Dead Men Do Tell Tales") as Nancy, the singer girlfriend of Terry (Dennis Waterman).[32] In 1985, she starred as a mentally disturbed ex-MI5 operative in Dempsey and Makepeace – "Love you to Death".[33] In 1994, she made a cameo appearance as a nurse in the "Hospital" episode of the comedy Absolutely Fabulous.[34] She also was filmed in the 1990 Clive Barker horror film Nightbreed, but the studio cut out her character.[citation needed] In 2006, Quatro performed the voice of Rio in the Bob the Builder film Built to Be Wild,[35] and appeared in an episode of the second season of Rock School, in Lowestoft. She also appeared in the episode "The Axeman Cometh" of Midsomer Murders in the role of Mimi Clifton.

Apparently she played the lead in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN on stage in London.

Quincy Jones just was inducted, along with Heart and a slew of others...but no Quatros...nor Millingtons...
