Saturday Night Music: CATHY'S CLOWN
This may not be their best song, but it is the first one I remember. I was in seventh grade and we were allowed to dance after eating lunch. A daily trial for some I am sure. But I loved to dance and remember dancing to this. Some sort of twisty motion.
We saw a museum exhibit about the Everly Brothers in Coronado. Great fun.

I still get a jolt from their music.
Not one of their best? Did they have any bad ones? These guys could really bring it, and their ability to blend vocal sounds is absolutely tops. At about your age I used to hear them via the air waves when the girl up the hill played her 45s. I used to dre-e-e-e-eam a lot in those days. Yours truly, Toe.
Thanks for posting this. This is awesome!!

After Simon & Garfunkel did their cover version of "Wake Up Little Susie" they had Phil & Don as "special guests" touring with them. We saw them at Madison Square Garden in December of 2003.

Love their music, and I liked their TV show, too.
I don't remember that at all. Have to check out you tube.
Patti - Gosh, I haven't thought of the Everly Brothers in for-ev-er!
Cathy's Clown was the first song I ever learned, followed by Jesus Loves Me. I was so happy to see the Everlys during their all-too-brief reunion. Loved the TV show; I remember Phil singing Let It Be Me on one episode. Mm-mm.
