A favorite score and one of my favorite movies. We watch it every year on New Year's Eve. (The video was a bit odd as the movie takes place almost entirely in France, not in New York or Chicago.)

You never know what you tube is going to give you. Since I was more interested in the music here, I just went with it. I love it too. One of the best.

This is my sister's favorite movie. (She's fifteen year older than me) I saw it a long time ago after she told me that, but I found it very hard to watch. And when my sister eventually divorced her husband I recalled with a bitter irony this movie. I could never watch it again.

For another version of the theme with stills taken from the film try this:

My mother recommended this to us the first year we were dating (1967) and it has remained a favorite ever since. I remember when Jackie came back from a shopping trip to the city and triumphantly brandished her accidental find: the soundtrack album.

Wow, I've never seen Two for the Road, but I have long loved Mancini's score--I just didn't know where it came from. I guess this is another film worth adding to my to-rent list.

Cheers,
Jeff
