BULLFIGHTING, Roddy Doyle's 12 year old collection of stories, is good but compared with the new LIFE WITHOUT CHILDREN, it falls well short. Read the latter.

I'm enjoying the collection of Mr. Strang stories by William Brittain in THE MAN WHO SOLVED MYSTERIES. Strang is an older high school science teacher who solves crimes and other puzzles. Fun stories.

Also borrowed (and also started yesterday) Graham Swift's ENGLAND AND OTHER STORIES.; 7:58 AM
