Forgotten Movies: LOVE CRAZY

Celebrating their fourth anniversary, things get out of hand (as you might expect) and to avoid legal hassles, Powell pretends to be crazy. Lots of physical comedy in this one. Did Powell ever look young? Would anyone looking like Powell be a leading man today? But nobody did it better and with Loy, they both shine. Lots of fun but I'll take THE THIN MAN over this trifle.

I've never even heard of this one. Florence Bates played a lot of odious characters, didn't she?

Oh, this one sounds interesting, Patti. I've never seen it, but it's good to know it's out there.

Love THE THIN MAN movies.

Me, too.
I had only barely heard of it but a visit with my friends in CC opened up their enormous vault of movies. Reminds me of George's basement library.

Not their best but great, silly fun. I have it in a Powell and Loy box set (back in the days when studios released classic movies box sets on a regular basis ...)

Silly fun is a perfect description.
