Who says popular fiction doesn't deeply affect a reader? Love this.
I wonder how many people over the age of 25 could admit to this as well. I've always been fascinated by masks people seem forced to adopt being at odds with a struggle to be wholly authentic. It's not just a facet of adolescence though it's more prevalent at that time. A college professor of mine used to talk about "life acting" and how sometimes we meet some of the best actors off the stage in our everyday lives.
