Drop cloths are important when doing body dismemberment research. Always cover everything....that includes the ceiling. It do get messy.

We had the kitchen redone last year but stayed in the house while it happened. It was inconvenient but we survived.

This is a vacation rental in CA. The woman upstairs' pipe burst and the water came through our ceiling. It was sewage water and first the pipe needed replacing, now it is drying out and then someone will redo the ceiling. Not much fun when you are paying a lot of money to be here.
