Whiplash-Best movie I've seen this year

Also I am going to have to begin moderating comments due to an obscene commenter. Hope it is not too annoying.

One of my daughters is a drummer/percussionist and is interested in seeing this--so I'm glad it's better than the "Drumline"-type movie.

Sorry you're being trolled; I noticed a few trollish comments on Bill's blog a few weeks ago, but those seemed to have tapered off (Bill was removing them quickly). Sadly, this is why we can't have nice things!

I'm not so sure about the movie, but I'm sad that one person has ruined the flow of comments for the rest of us. Too bad you can't just block that person, or any comments with the offending words (those things can be done in Wordpress).

Barbara is looking for a good movie to see with her movie-going friend, but there seems little out there just now.

This one is on my list. J.K. Simmons is a favorite.

In Blogger I check comments pretty much daily to delete spam and other crap. Interesting op-ed piece in the NY Times Sunday about people who are either "makers" or "breakers," and the effect they have on the social media.

How sad that the trolls have intruded upon your superb site. In the past -- in various iterations of my blogs -- I have been run out of town (so to speak) by obnoxious commenters. I hope your trolls wither away under the rocky bridges. As for me, I always enjoy visiting your blog. So many times, just when I need a smile or my next reading idea, you were there at the right moment. Keep up the great work, and down with the trolls!

That clip really made me stresed! On the other hand, JK Simmons is a bit of a god, so ...

And Miles Teller is such a terrific young actor. It is stressful but the larger point makes it worth it.
