Colm Feore, a Canadian actor we have been lucky enough to see several times at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, plays Canadian pianist Glen Gould, in this film (1993) which rests somewhere between a doc and a regular movie. He never plays the piano, but acts the part of Gould, a very eccentric pianist. I love this film because it reminds me of short stories. It is original, thrilling and if you love classical music it will entertain you. It was directed by Francois Girard.

I remember seeing it when it was first released, but could it really have been--gulp!--21 years ago?
Never got around to watching this but do have the soundtrack somewhere.
Didn't know who Glen Gould was.
I've heard Good Things about THIRTY-TWO SHORT FILMS ABLE GLENN GOULD. I'll have to track down a copy. I have several Glenn Gould recordings. He's quirky, but a genius.
It really made an impression on me way back when, and I don't think you have to know anything about Gould going in to enjoy it.
