You know whom I think deserves more scrutiny? Aptly named Dick Morris's FLEECED, wherein the toe-sucking Clintonista notes that Obama is Socialist Out To Destroy Amurrica.
Joking and satirizing aren't supposed to be taken as true, even if they usually make a point that's true, or that the humorist believes is true. Lying is when one claims falsehood is true and wants it accepted as true. To label Obama a socialist is to either to attempt to make the word mean simply Bad Stuff With Gummint In It, or to lie. Particularly when one presumably was backing Clinton, with her similar policies. Then again, perhaps Morris is now a Constitution Party supporter.

Satire does tend to resemble that which it satirizes.
I'm just wondering how the right is restraining itself from saying, "IT'S A LIE! IT'S A LIE! WE DO NOT THINK LIKE THAT! THE FACTS ARE LYING!"
Seriously. Have you ever seen the right deny an accusation when it's true?
When you look in a mirror, maybe you don't realize what you're seeing after a while. Maybe it doesn't look evil anymore.
Thanks for the Post cartoon, Patti!
That is good.
Patti,
I tried to answer your email to my website, but it bounced back to me. Can you send another with a different address?
Early August won't work, but I'd be delighted to be considered for another month . . .
thank you,
Pari

And he ain't joking. Lying, but not joking.
Lying, joking, satirizing, where is the line drawn?
