Despite the best efforts of Ninja the Cat to get me to come lie with her in the sunlight, so she can have a napping buddy, I've put together a scrap of a SSW this morning as well. Thanks, as always... https://socialistjazz.blogspot.com/2023/03/ssw-funerals-by-robert-bausch-phoebe.html
A while ago I bought Fred Brown's MOSTLY MURDER on Kindle. It must have been on sale then because it is $9.99 now and there is no way I'd pay that much, frankly. I've read a lot of Brown's short stories, including a large collection of his SF stuff. This is, as the title suggests, mostly murder but the tone and the plots are actually pretty varied. As always, Brown is worth reading.
Good morning, here is mine for this week.

ReplyDeleteEven Brown's joke stories tend to be more clever and pointed than most joke stories.
