Fewer and fewer people probably remember the Waltons but I always loved them. From their house to yours (or your favorite restaurant) have a happy day.
Happy Thanksgiving. Of course I remember the Waltons! Jackie watched one of their early (maybe the first) movies last year, I believe. I think I mentioned that we saw Richard Thomas many years ago on the Upper West Side, pushing his kids (then toddlers, now 40!) in a stroller. Jackie could not contain herself and yelled out, "John Boy!" at which he laughed uproariously.
And you, Margot. Thanks for stopping by. I miss your blog. I know it is overly sentimental but it worked for me. Black Friday begins weeks earlier now. I have been spending money for weeks.
And I am thankful for your friendship. Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteMy late mother's very favourite television show, The Waltons was a Sunday evening staple in the Busby household.
ReplyDeleteA very Happy Thanksgiving to you!
I hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving, Patti!
ReplyDeleteCW network ran a Waltons-revival movie in primetime last night. I think their place in the popular imagination is still secure.
ReplyDeleteHappy "Black Friday" everyone!

And you, Brian. We just made our reservations for Stratford. It's not the same without our annual lunch though.
