Very cool.

It was terrifically cool. She wanted to know why no other female writers wrote adult books about teenage girls.

Great photos, Patti! The energy of the event just jumps off my screen! Megan has to be happy with the launch of THE FEVER.

85 folks. Wow that is wonderful!

Looks like there were a few men there, so it wasn't all girls club-ish. It must have been a terrific event, lots of people and interactions. I wish you'd let someone else take a picture or two with both of you in it. I can hardl wait to read the book!

Lots of men. Hope you like it.

So, what was Megan's response to the teenager's question?

I am curious, what was the answer to "Did she really like MS?" (since I grew up in Alabama but left at 22). I am sure being in a university town was a nice environment.

She loved it! So much book talk instead of pub biz talk. Great students!

pattinase (abbott) berkata...

She said books about boys are called 'coming of age" novels but books about girls are considered YA.

It is great that she enjoyed Mississippi. My last years in Alabama were at the university (many, many years ago) so I can remember that there are two sides to the state. (To any state, I am sure.)
