BLOGS

Ain't she sweet?
Dan Conaway and Megan Abbott at the Red Crown in Grosse Pointe Park, MI

My blog list hasn't expanded much in a long time. I am mostly reading friends rather than looking for new ideas? What blogs do you read that might be unusual or thought-provoking.

My story "Kathy McDonald's Mother" is up on YELLOW MAMA.  Thanks to Cindy Rosmus.

Thought provoking? Heck if I know. I've limited myself to here, someone named Crider, and a library related blog.

  5. I read children's librarian blogs, but otherwise, I'm guilty of reading friends' blogs too...

  6. I used to read a heck of a lot more. But some have disappeared, especially since facebook. But I do like blogs more. Blogs have a lot more personality than posts on facebook.

  7. In addition to the ones mentioned, there's I like the Things I Like, Couture Cortesean, Mark Evanier's News From Me, Steve Hockensmith, Rick Robinson, and Thrilling Detective. No one reads mine, so I'll omit that.

  8. How could I forget Laurie's Wild West?

  9. I'm with you, Patti. I prefer reading blogs over other social media forms because of the personality but I've found my blog list decreases every month. I've added a few blogs here and there but usually end up canceling the subscription because the blog is boring. It's a hard thing to do well and I think most people prefer the ease and quickness that comes with facebook/twitter. I'm glad you're still hanging around here. I don't comment as much as I'd like but I'm always reading. I think Chuck Wendig is the newest blog I've added that I really love and that was a while ago. Maybe Jim C. Hines as well.

  10. My blog list is all over the place. I particularly like people doing exciting things that are totally unrelated to how I generally spend my time.

  11. I've had a stable blog list for three or four years. You're on it!

I stay in touch with Diana's profession partly by reading a blog called Tits and Sass. It's definitely not Fox News.
