I think Secret History is the only one I've read. I enjoyed it, but I kept thinking the characters acted so much older than they actually were. Still, a worthwhile read.
I wish I could be nearly as enthusiastic as Deb about the Tartt. Well, she's better than her other graduated Bennington classmate, Bret Easton Ellis, if not nearly as good as the guy who dropped out of their class, Jonathan Lethem.
Nice haul. The Tartt is one I've meant to read for years but somehow never have (so far).
ReplyDeleteI think I now prefer trade paperbacks to any other format.
Enjoy.

Salter is another author I haven't read (but have meant to). I have Rash's latest short story collection from the library.

ReplyDeleteI tried SH years ago and didn't finish it. Decided to give it another try as it as only $.50
ReplyDeleteOh, Patti, you've got a nice variety there!
ReplyDeleteI've been hearing about Salter. Will have to give him a try.
