Congratulations! I believe joy and a sense of achievement help make pain go away. I've been helping an actress friend overcome a Vicodin addiction. Her doctor is gradually weaning her of it, slowly enough so her neuroreceptors atrophy. (Quitting cold turkey doesn't stop the addiction.) She gets a week's prescription, and I deliver a single day's supply each morning. That started at five pills, and now it's three. Vicodin can be a hallucinogen, so enjoy the fun while it lasts.

  12. Congratulations, Patti! You tell a mean story. I'm wondering, too, what'd have happened if Tom hadn't taken Pirate along with him.

Hope you are feeling much better now.
