A favorite show of the last 15 years was Smokey Joe's Cafe, a musical revue of the songs of Leiber & Stoller. The show ends with a couple of Ben E. King's songs, "I (Who Have Nothing)" and "Stand By Me." Later in the run (1995-2000) they had King as a "special guest" doing the latter to close the show.
What a voice. I saw a punk band calm down a potential riot by playing this song.
