Years later I got to see some "Fugitive" episodes, and realized why my mother was so dazzled by the show: They were GOOD!Benzadmiralnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33110302.post-57302535908527141992014-09-18T19:50:40.878-04:002014-09-18T19:50:40.878-04:00The Avenerd was on Friday night and I rarely made ...The Avenerd was on Friday night and I rarely made it through.<br />pattinase (abbott)https://www.blogger.com/profile/02916037185235335846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33110302.post-55352534716849177212014-09-18T19:29:44.075-04:002014-09-18T19:29:44.075-04:00The Avengers (my all time favorite) The Man From U...The Avengers (my all time favorite) The Man From Uncle, The Fugitive, The Saint, all of I have on dvd and still enjoy.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13429022396677874310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33110302.post-71606288631586577472014-09-18T14:45:44.725-04:002014-09-18T14:45:44.725-04:00I grew up on 70s TV but I saw a heckuva a lot of 6...I grew up on 70s TV but I saw a heckuva a lot of 60s TV thanks to the inundation of syndicated reruns back then. Amazingly I've seen all of these shows you list but only in their second life. And some of these are now on their fifth, sixth or eleventh life thanks to a resurgence in nostalgia TV networks (Cozi, MeTV, MeTV Too, Antenna TV). THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW will always be one of my favorites. THE AVENGERS was pretty fun TV. Seems like we're having a revival of that style of weird, offbeat action TV series these days.J F Norrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06473487417479127354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33110302.post-72610778988510634202014-09-18T12:49:06.518-04:002014-09-18T12:49:06.518-04:00Combat. Some I have never seen, but I've never been a fan of comedies on TV or in the movies. In thinking back to 1964, I remembered that I was playing softball in the summer and refereeing hockey and curling in the winter so wasn't home many evenings to watch these shows. Wow, that's 50 years ago.Kent Morganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09834261948994921554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33110302.post-65785933199465581262014-09-18T10:43:56.178-04:002014-09-18T10:43:56.178-04:00They were both on in 1964 but premiered earlier. They were both on in 1964 but premiered earlier.pattinase (abbott)https://www.blogger.com/profile/02916037185235335846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33110302.post-58588353470426578932014-09-18T10:31:24.990-04:002014-09-18T10:31:24.990-04:00This was an interesting post. The series was uneven, and the finale downright disappointing, but the best episodes were gripping.
