  1. The first things that came to mind were the "Chuckles Is Dead" episode on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, the dead parrot bit from Monty Python, and the German customers on Faulty Towers.

There's an episode of The Simpsons where Homer attends Krusty's Clown College. While Homer is learning to ride a unicycle, his pants get caught in the wheels and as he pedals his pants get pulled further and further down until his bare butt is on the bike seat. Krusty turns to his assistant and says, "Burn that bike."

There are funnier episodes, but that single scene always makes me collapse into helpless laughter.

  6. I can't abide Roseanne Barr, so you can be sure that won't be in my answer.

The ones already mentioned are great, and I'd add the one where Ralph Kramden gets on a game show where he has to name "Swanee River."

  8. The scene where Howard thinks the wall of Bob and Emily's apartment is about to collapse on "The Bob Newhart Show". But any number of Howard scenes could fall into this category.

The turkey drop scene from WKRP is maybe the best scene in the history of television. (Nothing like a sweeping statement for a Sunday.)

  9. I love the scene from Bob Newhart where the men get drunk and order Chinese food. Bob can't way moo goo gai pan.
    Yes, that's the classic.

  10. That's a wonderful scene. "More goo to go!"

Now that Newhart show was the classic one. Emily, Howard, Carol, Mr. Carlin, great stuff.

Here's Bob talking about that scene.

And of course there was this scene.

PS - Jackie decorated our bedroom with the "boxes" pattern sheets and comforters that Emily had.

  13. Without a doubt, the best finale in TV history.

  14. Since 'Chuckles' was already taken, then I'll go with the Dick Van Dyke Show and Coast-to-Coast Mouth

Practically anything from Fawlty Towers, but the best of all might be the last seconds of the Hotel Inspectors episode. The inspectors finally show up, making no effort at all to be undercover.

"And what can I do for you three gentlemen? AAAUUUGGGH!"

  16. I have to say Ernie Kovacs, but there are too many moments in his shows to pick anything specific.
